1) Happy New Year was initially supposed to be made right after Main Hoon Naa.
2) Farah Khan has reportedly roped in filmmakers in a special appearance for one of the songs in the film.
3) John Abraham was earlier supposed to be a part of the film. However, he opted out of the film citing date issues.
4) It was rumoured that Ankita Lokhande will make her debut with HNY as Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady. But eventually the role went to Farah's protege Deepika Padukone whom she had launched with Om Shanti Om.
5) According to a PTI report, the film was earlier supposed to feature Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and Juhi Chawla.
6) Shah Rukh's son AbRam and wife Gauri Khan have cameos in the film.
7) Happy New Year will be Shah Rukh and Farah's comeback film after their alleged fallout following the slap-gate incident between SRK and Farah's husband Shirish Kunder.
