'Was surprised Bang Bang broke Kick's day 1 record'

Siddharth Anand's Bang Bang clocked in Rs 100 crore in less than five days and continues to enjoy a successful run at the box-office. The total collection after five days stands at Rs 109.49 crore nett (156.41 crore gross). The lead pair of Bang Bang - Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, are delighted about the film's record-breaking spree at domestic and international markets.

Expressing his happiness at the stupendous response to his film, Hrithik says, "Huge gratitude for all the love. It seems like times like 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and 'Dhoom:2' after which I experienced a similar kind of praise and adulation. To be honest I was a little surprised when it broke the 'Krrish 3' 1st day record and 'Kick's 1st day record, as Bang Bang wasn't a solo release. Perhaps I expected a little less but Bang Bang has proven its mettle and now sky is the limit. My congratulations to the entire team and a big thank you to my audience!"

Katrina too was lauded for her performance in the film. The actress says, "I am very, very happy with the response to Bang Bang. Thank you to the audience for accepting the film. The good numbers only indicate the love that the fans have shown for Bang Bang. It's so gratifying for the entire unit to be appreciated for all the hard work that went into creating the experience of this film."
