According to a report NDTV.com, Ranbir Kapoor has decided to not let Katrina's absence dampen his festive spirit. Ranbir started the festivities by reportedly throwing a grand party for his friends from the film fraternity, which saw the likes of Alia Bhatt, Anurag Kashyap, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra in attendence. While Katrina is apparently away in London, celebrating Christmas with her family, Ranbir hosted a grand party on Christmas Eve at his Bandra residence, where he lives with Katrina. Meanwhile, Ranbir is apparently scheduled to attend the Kapoor's Christmas lunch today. The entire Kapoor clan, along with their respective partners, gathers at the Kapoor bungalow, Krishna Raj, for a family day filled with food and fun.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif looked every bit the loved-up couple at their Christmas bash on Saturday. This had set off rumours that the actor may introduce his live-in partner as the 'next Mrs Kapoor' at the upcoming annual Kapoor luncheon at Shashi Kapoor's Juhu house. However, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Ranbir's ladylove will give the big Christmas get-together a miss. She will instead have a white Christmas in London. "Katrina has left for London to be with her mom and sisters for Christmas. Although initially the plan was to join the Kapoors for their yearly bash, she later decided to spend the holidays with her family in the UK. Don't be surprised if you see RK in London for New Year's as the couple were toying with the idea of a small break together since it has been a hectic year for both of them." the report quoted a source.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who recently moved into their Carter Road apartment together, threw a pre-Christmas bash for their pals. "It's a big, beautifully done up house with a terrace garden overlooking the Arabian sea which is the envy of every owner in the block," a guest from the party told Mirror, adding, "The artefacts have been carefully handpicked by both from trips abroad, including London, Cape Town and Bangkok." According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the party began around midnight. RK's Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali, and Katrina's Phantom director, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur were among the first to arrive. While the guests interacted with one another, Ranbir had eyes only for his Kat. "They did a slow dance together, with pecks turning into lingering kisses. They looked every bit a loved-up couple," added the source.

Alia Bhatt drove straight from a comedy event. She was accompanied by Ayan Mukerjee, who is directing Ranbir and her in a yet-to-be-titled superhero movie next year. Kat's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star, Imran Khan, came with wife Avantika. The film's director Ali Abbas Zafar also joined in. Karan Johar got hold of the cast of his next film Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka Sharma-under one roof. Ash walked in with husband Abhishek and sister-in-law Shweta Nanda. With beau Virat Kohli in Australia, Anushka came alone. Ditto Sonam Kapoor. "Karan Johar and Imran have had their share of differences but they were courteous with each other," a source said to Mumbai Mirror.

For the pre-Christmas party, Katrina did not hire a Bollywood DJ but personally curated the house music that played all evening. The party was momentarily disrupted when some Hindi chartbusters suddenly cut into the mellow mood. When Katrina checked, she discovered a neighbour with a fondness for peppy Salman Khan tracks, including the popular 'Jumme ki raat', was having a party too and had upped the volume on the stereo. "RK told Kat not to bother and soon the music died down," said the guest to Mumbai Mirror.

A lot has been written about alleged lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kapoor's plans to take their relationship to the next level. Mother Neetu Singh is also keen to see her son tying the knot and it was reported that she wants Ranbir to get married by 2016. According to a report on bollywoodmantra.com, when asked about Ranbir's marriage plans, Neetu Singh said at a recent event that they are ready whevener Ranbir is ready. The report quoted her saying, "Aaj kal ke bachchon ka kuch pata nahi hota. When they get ready… when they gonna get married… what they want to do. They are absolutely on their own trip, so I don't know." She also said that as a mother she wants him to get married soon, but she doesn't think he is ready. Also when asked about Katrina celebrating Christmas with the Kapoors, Neetu said that whoever Ranbir wants to get along with him, he can, states the report.

Ranbir and Katrina fans have every reason to rejoice as their favourite on-screen pair is shooting for yet another film together. Katrina and Ranbir are currently shooting for Jagga Jasoos in Film City. However, the actors are not talking to each other. Why you ask? Well, because they are singing out their lines. According to a report in DNA, Jagga Jasoos is a musical and will have Ranbir and Kat communicating with each other through songs. The film that combines elements of a musical and a suspense-thriller, is an experiment of sorts and features 20 songs, all composed by Pritam.

The rumour mills are abuzz with reports of an impending marriage, but Ranbir and Katrina, who have recently moved in together in their Carter Road apartment, are still choosing to keep mum about it. The two have never spoken about their love life publicly and see no reason why it should change now. However, according to a report in Pinkvilla, the couple seems keen to take their relationship to the next level. As opposed to their New Year holiday in New York last year with Ayan Mukerji, they are planning to ring in the new year in London this time. Apparently, the decision to do so has been sparked off by the fact that Ranbir and Katrina want to discuss their wedding plans with Kat's family and also spend some quality time with them, over the holidays.
