Don't want AbRam to be part of 'circus of public life': SRK

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he does not want his son AbRam to be in the 'circus of public life' that he is a part of.

Shah Rukh and Gauri's youngest child AbRam was born through surrogacy in May last year.

"I am not overtly happy talking about him. He is my baby and nobody else's. You can come home and see him if I allow you to come in my house," Shah Rukh told in an exclusive interview here.

"He (AbRam) is not meant for flashbulbs. I don't want him to be a participant in this circus of public life that I am a part of. That is what I do... Public life... The good, bad, ugly, goodness of media, the strangeness... I am part of it, not my children," the 48-year-old actor said.

AbRam was born at 34 weeks of pregnancy and had initially spent most of the time in hospital.

"It is one of the only things that has made me uncomfortable in my career is you take on a child who is sick when he was born and make it an issue... I find it very disgraceful. I am a movie star, disgrace me but not my kids," he said.

Though his two elder children - Aryan and Suhana - pose with him for media, but the doting father insists that this is because they are grown up and hang around with him.

"He (Abram) is small... Don't want to allow that innocence in my line of work. Others do it good... I don't do it so I can't comment on others. One day if I feel to come out I will. My baby, my life... I feel awkward when people say why I don't bring him in public. I will do what I feel like. You can't put picture because I don't like it, I feel uncomfortable," he said.

Shah Rukh is still unhappy recollecting the time when there were reports that a pre-natal sex determination test, which is banned in the country, had been conducted, following which the Mumbai civic body had sent a team to his residence to ascertain the facts which was turned away.

The actor has repeatedly trashed the speculations.

"I did not like that fact when the media spoke about the surrogacy. I hate it. They said I had sex determination test, which was rubbish. I am too educated to be indulging in this non-sense. He was suffering... He was ill and people were talking about sex determination just because he is the child of a famous movie star," he said.

"He will grow up one day and might read all this or may not read also... But it is very sad. Just because he is my child, it doesn't make him less or more than anyone else... A kid is a kid. He was unwell and there were cases going on. I feel awkward," he said.

However, Shah Rukh is very happy and feels blessed to have such a beautiful child.

"He is very sweet, beautiful and pretty looking. He is a pleasant child. He brings lot of cheer and happiness. It is great fun to be with him. Everyone wants to be with him. There is so much innocence and love in the baby... He is very sweet. The kids like him... I like him," Shah Rukh said.

"My office people make excuses to come home to see him. We have lot of good time. Now I have to do the kids shopping thing again... Whatever I did ten years ago," he said.

Apart from his two other children, AbRam too visits Shah Rukh on film shoots sometimes.

"He comes on sets at times. Aryan and Suhana are studying so I can't take them away from school. AbRam is too small, but he has come to my shooting in Mumbai but not abroad," the actor said.

"My family doesn't like watching shooting. If I am shooting from 9 AM to 9 PM they get bored. When I was shooting for 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', they all were there in London, they were there in Dubai as well," he said.

Boman Irani: Just days after there was an alleged threat from the Underworld against superstar Shah Rukh Khan, there are reports that suggests that actor Boman Irani has also received a threat call from underworld don Ravi Pujari. Quoting a senior police officer, a PTI report says, "Boman Irani has received threat call from Pujari and we have provided him security. We are investigating the case." Speaking to TOI, SRK said that that they dialed a number and he spoke to a man who identified himself as Shakeel and asked him to work in Rizvi's film. SRK said, "I was scared and told Shakeel that I would first listen to the story and decide." SRK added that he used to receive threatening calls on his mobile from Abu Salem forcing him to work in his movie. Shakeel also called twice to work with a girl called Nagma.

Movie Review: 'The November Man'

Story: An expert former CIA agent is coaxed out of retirement to return to the international circuit for one more secretive and needless to say, dangerous mission. But in the tangled world of international espionage, who can he trust?

Review: Peter Devereaux (Brosnan) is the cool-headed but hardened CIA killer and a veteran of many international espionage missions while his protege David Mason (Bracey) is impulsive and has an easy trigger finger. The flashback opening shows Mason botch a mission that he and Devereaux are on, by shooting a civilian. Things subsequently get a bit messy between the two. This is when the teacher-student relationship goes sour. This messed-up dynamic underscores much of the rest of the film.

In the present, Deveraux is coaxed out of his isolation in picturesque Switzerland by a handler called John Hanley (Smitrovich) and tasked to protect and escort a woman out of Russia. She knows the dirt on one Arkady Federov (Ristovski), who is to become the next Russian president. The whole thing goes awry however in true thriller movie style when Mason enters the scene again. Additionally, the woman Devereaux is assigned to protect is killed by an assassin. But as luck would have it, Devereaux finds another woman called Alice (Kurylenko) who has various secrets of her own.

Amidst the many gunfights and car chases on narrow roads, a bit of tough love-style romance is hinted at between Devereaux and Alice. While Mason still subconsciously seeks Devereaux's approval, he also nurses a lethal grudge. Jibes are exchanged between the two; they even manage snatches of nasty phone conversations between chases.

Donaldson has an impressive pedigree when it comes to this genre (*The Recruit* and *The Bank Job* to name a few) but he doesn't inject much in terms of innovation in this by-the-numbers spy thriller. The sometimes-cluttered plot aside, this slickly-shot film manages to pass muster. A big reason why you might want to see this film is because Pierce Brosnan is in it. And indeed, it is on his able shoulders that this movie rests.

Missing documents in Salman Khan's hit-and-run case found

Mumbai police have heaved a sigh of relief with the missing documents pertaining to the 2002 hit-and-run case against actor Salman Khan being found at Bandra police station.

The documents were found yesterday at Bandra police station, Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria said today.

"We have initiated an inquiry as to how the papers went missing. Action will be taken against policemen because of whom the documents had gone missing for a few days," he said.

The documents contain important information relating to the case, the case diary and statements of witnesses, police said. Somebody might have shifted the documents from the record room during the renovation of the police station after which they were not traceable, sources said.

On August 21, Bandra police had informed the sessions court holding a fresh trial in the case that the documents related to witnesses' statements and the case diary had gone missing. The court had directed the police to locate the documents by September 12.

On September 28, 2002, the actor's car had run over a group of people sleeping on the pavement outside a Bandra bakery, killing one and injuring four.

People love you everywhere in India, but when you visit small cities what is the reaction?
The reaction is the same when I visit small cities. They are excited that I am there. Thankfully with the grace of God I haven't had many major issues.

I believe India is one of the most amazing cultures and places I have ever been. I am so happy that I am a part of this world. Every day that I am in India is a different experience.

I am always amazed that young children know who I am and that their parents are excited for the kids to take pictures with me. I am not sure when my husband Daniel and I will plan to start a family, only time will tell. Right now I am focused on my career but I know that I will continue to work after I have a baby. I will work hard to maintain my body so it will be easy to carry on working. Just like everyone in the US does.

Leonardo DiCaprio completes Ice Bucket Challenge

Superstar Leonardo DiCaprio finally took up the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and donated a hefty amount for the cause. The 39-year-old actor was challenged back on August 19 by former soccer star David Beckham, reported Us magazine. DiCaprio, who famously died in freezing water in the 1997 blockbuster 'Titanic', posted a video on Facebook as he accepted the challenge.
